As a foundation to therapy, I use a humanistic approach-meaning I take time to understand your story and experience. Through this framework, I help build awareness of your inner experience and how it connects to your relationships, behaviors, and challenges. I will support and encourage you to make changes in your self, your thinking, and your actions. Ultimately, my goal is to help you take personal responsibility for your life and to become a more self-compassionate being.
Expect that sessions will at times be challenging and rewarding. As a counselor, my role is to help process concerns, build self-awareness, reframe maladaptive patterns of thinking, and to promote behaviors that lead to optimal well-being.
